The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were on last night after being postponed from the original date in April due to COVID-19. In case you missed it, here are the night's biggest moments and winners.

The night was hosted by Kelly Clarkson, who has hosted the show the past two years as well, and in addition to the awards, was filled with performances. There was no live audience, everyone working was adorned in personal protective equipment, and there were frequent tests and temperature checks throughout the rehearsal and shooting process. Even though there was no audience, the show made up for it in other ways. They had to significantly cut down the number of live performances due to safety policies, but executive producer, Mark Bracco ensured a fulfilling show:

Several performances will be live [at Dolby], others will be pre-taped from the Dolby stage the day before. We're not hiding the fact that there's no audience, but we're gonna have a little fun with it.

With a controller for fake applause in hand, Kelly Clarkson added:

Now, it is no secret that there is no audience here tonight . . . [fake applause] makes me feel a little awkward, but I said the only way I would agree to it is if I could control it.

She continues, comedically demonstrating her use of the controller in different situations.
