It's a role that's been played by everyone from Jose Ferrer to Steve Martin. Now, Emmy-winner Peter Dinklage is taking on the classic character of Cyrano de Bergerac.


Cyrano - In Theaters Now

Before there was catfishing, there was Cyrano, a man who was in love with a woman named Roxanne. But, because of his own insecurities he not only kept his love a secret, but also helped another man to get Roxanne to fall in love with him. The second man, named Christian, using Cyrano's words to woo the woman they both love.

In the new Oscar-nominated adaptation of Cyrano, it is rising star Kelvin Harrison Jr. playing Christian.

"It's something we all can relate to everyday. All of us fall in love. All of us sometimes get scared of love. All of us have insecurities when we come in to a new relationship or a new experience and we're just trying to articulate ourselves and put our best selves forward every time. I'm a big 'Game of Thrones' fan, so I just think [Peter is] an incredible actor. Honestly, he's a good friend now, and I just think working with him I learned so much," Harrison Jr. said.

Cyrano is in theaters now.

A Madea Homecoming - On Netflix Now

After 2019's A Madea Family Funeral, most fans thought they'd seen the last of Tyler Perry's female alter ego. Luckily, she's back!

After two years of pandemic misery, Tyler Perry is reviving his hilarious character to help bring a smile to fan's faces. He just dropped the new film, A Madea Homecoming, on Netflix. It's the first time he's made a new Madea movie specifically for the streamer.

Brandon Black and Isha Blaaker opened up on sharing the screen with Madea.

"Her and her craziness are going to be bumping up against a bunch of new characters. Me and a few others are all new members of the family. I have to come out to my family. That's my character's story, part of it. You're going to see her and the rest of my family react to that and it's going to be really cool," Black said.

A Madea Homecoming is streaming now on Netflix.

Joe vs. Carole - March 3rd on Peacock

Speaking of Netflix, the streamer created a phenomenon with their series, Tiger King, in 2020. Now, Peacock is picking up the story with their new dramatized series Joe vs. Carole.

John Cameron Mitchell plays the infamous Joe Exotic.

"It's more of a deeper dive into their feelings and their backstories. What are they like at home with each other instead of just in front of an interviewer. I just really fell in love with it and I didn't think I had anything in common with this guy, but I realized I do. He was queer, grew up at the same time I did, in a part of the country where it wasn't easy to be queer."

Joe vs. Carole is streaming now on Peacock.
