This week, Menken won an Emmy Award for "Waiting in the Wings", a song from Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. This officially makes Menken an EGOT winner. Alan Menken has received eight Academy Awards, eleven Grammy Awards, one Tony Award, one Daytime Emmy Award, seven Golden Globe Awards, one Drama Desk Award, and two Outer Critics Awards.
