Dwayne Johnson

Following Alec Baldwin's tragic incident on the set of Rust, Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), pledges to stop using real firearms on all movie projects.

Severe protocols are almost always followed on sets of movies -- This is no different for Red Notice, which features three outstanding Hollywood stars: Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds.

The movie, which is set to be available for streaming on Netflix on November 12th, follows an Interpol agent trying to catch one of the most wanted art thieves. On November 3rd, the movie officially premiered in Los Angeles and Johnson opened up about Baldwin's incident on set:

"First of all, I was heartbroken: we lost a life. My heart goes out to her family and everybody on set. I've known Alec too for a very long time."

He continued talking about the importance of taking the time to pause and reflect on the safety protocols used and how to prevent further accidents from happening again.

"There are safety protocols and measures that we have always taken in the movie business and we take very seriously, but accidents do happen. And when something like this happens of this magnitude, I think the most prudent thing and the smartest thing to do is just pause for a second and really re-examine how you're going to move forward and how we're going to work together."

Furthermore, the actor was very clear about his position on using real firearms on set:

"I can tell you, without an absence of clarity here, that any movie that we have moving forward with Seven Bucks Productions, we won't use real guns at all."

Seven Bucks Productions is a company that was founded in 2012 by Johnson and business partner Dany Garcia. Since then, the company has made some of the most profitable movies such as Jumanji, Jungle Cruise and Hobbs and Shaw.

Finally, Johnson decided to celebrate the movie premiere's success with an Instagram video, thanking the fans for all the love and support:

"But most of all, thank you to the fans who brought the energy, emotions and love - making this an UNFORGETTABLE night."

The actor's remarks are an important reminder that further protocols have to be placed to guarantee the safety of those who work in the entertainment industry.
