Alex Trebek

We're sad to report that Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has passed away at the age of 80 following his battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.

Jeopardy's social media accounts confirmed the news, saying that the iconic TV personality passed away early yesterday morning surrounded by family and friends.

"Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends. Thank you, Alex."

Trebek was the host of Jeopardy! for 36 years, since the show's syndication debut. He first revealed his cancer diagnosis in March of 2019, and after taking a year and a half off, he rejoined the Jeopardy! stage in September of this year.
