Amber Heard is Shape's December Cover Model

Amber Heard is set to make a splash in Aquaman opposite Jason Momoa, and our friends at Shape Magazine have the inside story on their December cover star's workout routine.

A movie like Aquaman requires some specialized preparation. After all, it's jam-packed full of stunts and fight scenes. Naturally, Heard underwent hours of martial arts training in order to go toe-to-toe with the baddies of the deep blue sea.

When she isn't preparing for a specific movie role, Heard's go-to workout is running. According to the star, it keeps her strong, healthy, clears her mind, and helps her to focus.

Running is also a convenient practice for a globetrotting actress, since it is something she can easily do anywhere in the world.

With that global profile in mind, Heard is actively using her platform to support human rights. She speaks up on behalf of people who can't effectively speak for themselves, including immigrant and migrant families in the U.S. and abroad.

Catch Amber Heard in December's Shape Magazine, and don't miss Aquaman when it swims into theaters on December 21st.
