Watch Christian Bale and Margot Robbie Conspire in Amsterdam Trailer

20th Century Studios

The intense trailer for David O. Russell's newest movie, "Amsterdam," is finally here.

The film focuses on three friends, despite its large, celebrity-packed cast of Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift and Robert De Niro.

Set in the early 1900s, De Niro plays an investigator questioning a doctor (Bale), nurse (Robbie) and attorney (Washington) about their past, all three are veterans who met in Belgium years prior. A title card reads "a lot of this actually happened," while Bale's voice over tells the audience,

“We formed a pact and swore to protect each other no matter what. But sometimes life is perfect until it’s not.”

The story follows the trio, who are falsely accused of murder in "one of the most shocking secret plots in American history." Described as “a fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction,” events spiral out of control after Bale finds a dead man in a box.

Rock and Swift make their appearances in the trailer standing over the box next to Bale, with Rock remarking,

“You have a dead white man in a box. Not even a casket. It doesn’t even have a top on it. Who do you think is going to get in trouble here?”

Alongside its star-studded cast, rapper Drake and Adel Nur (a.k.a. Future the Prince) serve as executive producers on the film.

"Amsterdam" premieres in theaters November 4. Watch the trailer below!
