Post Malone

Kelly Clarkson is returning to host the Billboard Music Awards for the third year in a row. The show that was scheduled to air on April 29th was postponed to October 14th due to the coronavirus pandemic.


The annual hit award show will air live from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. The show will honor the legendary Garth Brooks with the Icon Award.

Despite the pandemic, the eligibility period for nominations remained the same from March 23, 2019 to March 14, 2020. Nominees were announced on Tuesday morning with some iconic artists receiving major nods for their music.

Post Malone Tops Nominations

The famous rapper is in the running for 16 top-contender awards including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Rap Album and Top Collaboration.

Lil Nas X With 13 Noms

The first-time BBMA nominee is making a name for himself with 13 total nominations. He is up for many respected honors including Top New Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Rap Artist and Top Collaboration with his "Old Town Road" partner Billy Ray Cyrus.

Billie Eilish Scores Big

The "Bad Guy" artist is a forced to be reckon with in the music industry. Billie Eilish is one of the top nominees at the BBMAs this year with 12 nods. She is a contender for Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Hot 100 Song.

Khalid Earns 12 Nominations

Khalid received nods for Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top R&B Artist.

Other major nominees include Lizzo with 11 nods, Kanye West with 9 nods, and DaBaby with 7 nods.

Superstars Nominated For Top Female Artist

Ariana Grande, Halsey, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift join Eilish in the running for Top Female Artist for their iconic music.

Top Male Artist Nominees

DaBaby and Ed Sheeran are also in the running for Top Male Artist with Post Malone, Lil Nas X, and Khalid.

Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers are nominated alongside Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Khalid for the main award Top Artist.
