Anthony Ramos Joins Marvel Series ‘Ironheart’

Anthony Ramos is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In the Heights star Anthony Ramos is entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to Deadline. He is set for a critical role in Marvel's Ironheart series for Disney+.

Ramos will share the screen with previously announced series lead Dominique Thorne, who stars as Marvel character Riri Williams, a genius inventor and the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man.

While details behind the Ramos role are unknown, sources say it will be similar to how Jonathan Majors was introduced as Kang the Conquer in Loki. He is expected to have a significant role in this series, as well as future Marvel projects.

Since his breakout role as one of the original cast members of Hamilton, Ramos has been on the rise, with Bradley Cooper tapping him for a role in the A Star Is Born remake. He then topped the ensemble cast in Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights, which premiered last summer.

Chinaka Hodge will serve as head writer on Ironheart. The show was originally announced as part of a Disney investor day presentation in December 2020.

Ironheart is one of several upcoming Marvel shows at Disney Plus. Others include Secret Invasion, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Echo. The latter of which is a spinoff of "Hawkeye." There is also a spinoff of "WandaVision," starring Kathryn Hahn in the works.

Multiple Marvel shows have already debuted on the streaming service, with Hawkeye being the most recent.
