Armie Hammer is an actor, the son of businessman Michael Armand Hammer, and the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer. He was the star of acclaimed films like Call Me By Your Name, Hotel Mumbai, and On the Basis of Sex. Since the start of 2021, scandal has erupted surrounding the actor as more and more women come forward with claims of depraved actions from the now disgraced movie star.

This post will contain mention of sexual assault, as well as physical and emotional abuse. Many individuals have suffered from actions similar to the ones mentioned in this article, and it is not the wish of the author or Celebrity Page to invoke undue trauma.

The First Allegations

In January of 2021, several women came forward with allegations of abuse against Hammer, namely emotional manipulation as well as cannibalistic fetishism.

An ex-girlfriend of Hammer's from last year said that he would bruise her during sex, branded her, and frequently discussed notions of eating her body parts, which she thought was a joke until it was frequently mentioned.

Following these allegations, Hammer's lawyer made this statement:

"These assertions about Mr. Hammer are patently untrue. Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory."

The Anonymous Account

A couple weeks later, an anonymous Instagram account surfaced with screenshots that appear to be of Hammer's interactions with women in direct messages. These messages contained fantasies of violent assault and cannibalism consistent with the allegations made against him.

Hammer denied that the messages were real, calling them an online attack. He subsequently removed himself from the film Shotgun Wedding, the Starz series Gaslit, and the upcoming Paramount+ drama series The Offer.

Miss Cayman

On January 15th, videos were leaked from a private Instagram account owned by Hammer in which he said he was having sexual relations with a "Miss Cayman" in the Cayman Islands.

This resulted in the Grand Cayman police speaking to Hammer regarding the video, and Hammer issued an apology to the Cayman Compass, clarifying that the woman he was referring to in the video was not a part of the Miss Cayman beauty pageant.

Dropped

On February 5th, talent agency WME announced they had dropped Hammer as a client. His publicist did the same later that day.

New Allegations

Yesterday, another woman, a 24 year old dubbed "Effie" by media outlets, claimed that Hammer sexually assaulted her in a violent manner in April 2017, in the midst of a four year long physically and emotionally abusive relationship that took place during Hammer's marriage to Elizabeth Chambers, from whom he is now separated.

As a result of these new allegations, Hammer is now being investigated by the LAPD under suspicion of sexual assault. Hammer's legal team has once again denied allegations.
