Assassin's Creed

Since 2007, Ubisoft has developed 11 games to the Assassin's Creed franchise and will now help in the development of the Netflix film adaptation.

Assassin's Creed Saga

Ubisoft developed Assassin's Creed in 2007 and it was a major success. Following the original game came, Assassin's Creed II (2009), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (2010), Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011), Assassin's Creed III(2012), Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013), Assassin's Creed: Rogue (2014), Assassin's Creed: Unity (2014), Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (2015), Assassin's Creed: Origin (2017), and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (2018).

The original game follows the battle between the Assassins, who want peace and free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through order and control.

Netflix Takes on 'Assassin's Creed'

NX on Netflix announced the development of the film through their Twitter account.

Below the tweet, NX also mentioned that Ubisoft's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as the executive producers for the film, combining the minds of Netflix and Ubisoft on this project:

Netflix will be developing an Assassin's Creed live-action series. @Ubisoft's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as Executive Producers

The film is currently looking for a showrunner as well.

'Assassin's Creed' (2016)

There was an Assassin's Creed movie out in 2016, starring Michael Fassbender. This film follows his character, Cal Lynch, as he explores his family ancestry on his quest to take down the Templars.

There is not too much knowledge on the new Assassin's Creed in terms of cast, plot, or release date, at the moment.

Fans are able to purchase and play any of the Assassin's Creed games on PC, Play Station, and Xbox.

All we know for now is that fans will be able to watch Assassin's Creed sometime in the future, on Netflix.
