Becca Tobin and Zach Martin welcomed a son via surrogate after struggling to conceive for five years.

Glee alum Becca Tobin and her husband, Zach Martin, have welcomed a son via surrogate after struggling to conceive.

"Welcome to the world, Ford," the actress, 36, captioned an Instagram photo on Tuesday, February 22, showing the entrepreneur leaving the hospital with a carrier. "Rutherford 'Ford' Thomas Martin is here, and life is already so much sweeter."

The Georgia native's former co-stars showed their support in the comments, from Lea Michele to Kevin McHale. "Love you, Ford!" the Scream Queens alum, 35, commented on the social media upload, while the actor, 33, wrote, "Love you all soooo much, congratulations."

Tobin, who co-hosts the LadyGang podcast alongside Entertainment Tonight correspondent Keltie Knight and designer Jac Vanek, has previously been open about her fertility struggles, sharing on her podcast in July 2020 that she suffered two miscarriages and decided to undergo in-vitro fertilization.

"I felt like it's a disservice not to put everything out there when our whole brand is about talking about what's happening in your life, the ups, and the downs," she explains. "I couldn't be like, 'Yay, my life is perfect.' I just felt like, no, that's not the truth. That's never the truth for anybody. We all have highs and lows. And that was why I felt like I needed to talk about it."

The couple said "I do" in December 2016 in a Wyoming ceremony officiated by fellow Glee star Jane Lynch.
