Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne Spears expressed support for her daughter’s wedding, following reports that she wasn't invited to the celebration.
Spears married Sam Asghari on June 9, and the wedding took place in the pop-star’s California mansion. The post, on Instagram, featured Britney’s gown, the chapel, and many more inside pictures of the whimsical wedding.
Lynne shared some love for Britney, commenting on her post:
“You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn, on the other hand, has had a more discreet reaction to the wedding; she reportedly liked a post on Instagram from E! News that congratulated Britney for her wedding and showed the newly-wed hugging singer, Selena Gomez, and actress, Drew Barrymore.
Coming out of a 13-year-long conservatorship in November 2021, there is lingering animosity between Britney and her family members. When she gained her freedom, Britney publicly shared her horrifying experiences, trauma, and contempt for her family, who was accused of starting and prolonging it. Out of the close friends and family who attended, Lynne, Jamie Lynn, and Britney's father Jamie Spears were reportedly not invited to the wedding.
