Celebrities and Their Children Skate with Disney on Ice

Seeing celebrities through the lens of the media, it's easy to forget that they have families of their own, and that their moments of togetherness can mean so much more than their red carpet premieres.

That's the true magic of Disney On Ice. It gives these stars a chance to skate with their children among Disney characters who, in a child's eyes, are much bigger celebrities than their parents could possibly be.

Haylie Duff told us what this experience means to her, and her family.

“I feel like we all keep such a pace during the holidays that we really look forward to Disney On Ice every single year. This is such a special thing to get to do with our family.”

To fans of CW's Arrow, there are few people cooler than its star Stephen Amell. To his daughter, however, Mickey Mouse, Belle, and Moana are a much bigger deal.

“I mean you’re looking for cool points as a dad whenever possible.”

Malin Akerman has another reason to enjoy this experience. As a former figure skater of 12 years, she gets to share the magic of Disney and the ice with her daughter.

“You get the bug to want to kind of get back out there.”
