Midnight Sun retells the story of Twilight through Edward Cullen's perspective, rather than Bella Swan's. Series author Stephanie Meyers first created this idea back in 2008 and only announced this May that she will be releasing the book. Well, it was well worth the wait because it has become a huge hit!
<p>Hachette Book Group first announced this huge accomplishment earlier today in a statement. They <a href="https://ew.com/books/midnight-sun-sells-one-million-copies-in-first-week/" target="_blank">shared</a>: </p><blockquote>"We're absolutely thrilled to bring people back to The Twilight Saga world and to celebrate this major achievement with Stephenie and the fans and booksellers who've supported her for the last fifteen years. In addition to the breathtaking sales, it is profoundly gratifying to hear how much the fans are loving the novel. The resounding response to the read has been 'it was definitely worth the wait!'" </blockquote><p>Readers excitement should not stop there, because Meyers announced this past Monday that she will writing at least two more books in the series. Meyers <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/books/2020/08/12/stephenie-meyer-twilight-midnight-sun-sells-million-copies-first-week/3343213001/" target="_blank">said</a>:</p><blockquote>"There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write. With the help of his friends, Peter devises outrageous pranks to make his grandfather surrender the room, but Grandpa Ed won't go without a fight.</p><p>The comedy features an all-star supporting cast of Christopher Walken, Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, <a href="https://celebritypage.com/search/?q=cheech+marin" target="_blank">Cheech Marin</a> and <a href="https://celebritypage.com/search/?q=jane+seymour" target="_blank">Jane Seymour</a>. The film is directed by Tim Hill (<em>Alvin and the Chipmunks</em>), and written by Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember (<em>Home</em>).</p><p class=""><em>The War With Grandpa </em>is scheduled to be released in theaters October 9! However, amid the <a href="https://celebritypage.com/tag/coronavirus" target="_blank">coronavirus pandemic</a>, that it certainly subject to change.</p>
