After an acting career that spans over a decade, Chadwick Boseman had made a name for himself in the movie industry. After the sad passing of Boseman last week, here's a look at some of his best acting roles.


'The Kill Hole' (2012)

In this war movie, Chadwick Boseman stars as Lieutenant Samuel Drake, an Iraq War veteran who must go back to get closure from a war crime.

'42' (2013)

In this biography about Jackie Robinson, the first African American man to play in Major League Baseball, Boseman stars as Robinson himself.

'Get on Up' (2014)

In the 2014 biography about the late singer-songwriter James Brown, Chadwick Boseman puts on his toupee to play him in Get on Up.

'Captain America: Civil War' (2016)

In the action movie starring Marvel's Captain America character, Boseman debuts his role as Black Panther, also known as T'Challa. His character would later be seen in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, eventually getting his own movie.

'Marshall' (2017)

Adding another historical figure to his theatrical repertoire, Chadwick Boseman plays Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice in the 2017 biopic, Marshall.

'Black Panther' (2018)

In 2018, Boseman's Black Panther character gets his own movie. In the kingdom of Wakanda, T'Challa must lead his people, as he is heir to the throne.

'Da 5 Bloods' (2020)

In the war movie directed by Spike Lee, Chadwick Boseman plays the role of Stormin' Norman in the Netflix original Da 5 Bloods. This is Boseman's most recently released role. Two more projects involving the late actor can be expected, with the drama film Ma Rainey's Black Bottom set to release later this year.
