Sputnik - Official Trailer | HD | IFC Midnight

We're telling you all you need to know about the new IFC Midnight film Sputnik.

Sputnik revolves around Pyotr Fyodorov, who plays a Russian astronaut that comes back to earth with most of the memories of his last mission gone. A psychologist (Oksana Akinshina) in a government facility is given the task of uncovering the mysteries of the prior mission. Through this difficult process, she discovers that Fyodorov brought an alien parasite back with him.

Director Egor Abramenko spoke about his excitement regarding the new movie, sharing:

"Sputnik was a long journey for me, together with my cast and crew, as we were exploring new ways of structuring a traditional narrative and trying to expand the boundaries of the genre. In the great tradition of space-horror, I was incredibly excited to focus the film on our complex, deeply human characters in order to explore the horrors and inherent evil of human nature."

Sputnik is set to be released on Video on Demand and select theaters on August 14th!
