The 2018 MTV Movies and TV awards recognized Chris Pratt with the Generation Award -- which had previously been given to such icons as Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. Co-stars highlighted the Jurassic World and Parks and Rec star's dynamic range as a dim-witted, but lovable guy with good intentions, but not always the best ideas. Pratt delivered a mix of both light hearted and meaningful wisdom in his acceptance speech.

Chadwick Boseman and Lena Waithe Also Made Waves

Boseman, notably, gave his award to the real-life hero, James Shaw Jr., who recently fought off a gunman at a Waffle House, almost certainly saving many lives. Waithe received the Trailblazer Award and thanked the visionaries who have paved the way for her work and fought for equality.
