Cole Sprouse & Lana Condor Team Up in SciFi Rom-Com 'Moonshot'

Moonshot - Official Trailer | Watch on HBO Max 3/31

The beloved teen idols are now starring together.

Who would you cross the universe for?

To answer that question, fans are finally getting their first look at the upcoming science-fiction romantic comedy Moonshot!

Starring Cole Sprouse as Walt and Lana Condor as Sophie, the story is set in a futuristic world where humans have terraformed the surface of Mars. Sophie enrolls in the "Mars program" in order to be closer to her boyfriend, Calvin (played by Mason Gooding), as long distance between planets isn't exactly working for them.

Walt, who's dreamt of seeing Mars since he was a child, sneaks aboard Sophie's departing spaceship instead of bidding her goodbye. He decides to go after the woman of his dreams, Ginny (Emily Rudd), joins Sophie's journey. The two make the most of their trip to Mars together, as the synopsis reads,

“A romantic comedy with a twist, 'Moonshot' follows Walt and Sophie as they join forces in order to be reunited with their significant others, embarking upon a lively journey that winds up taking them both wildly and unexpectedly off course.”

Sprouse is famous not just for his role in beloved children's sitcom, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, but also for his part as Jughead Jones in CW's hit drama Riverdale. Condor is most renowned for her starring role in Netflix's teen romcom To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

The movie is directed by Christopher Winterbauer, and also stars Emily Rudd, Zach Braff, and Mason Gooding.

Moonshot will premiere on HBO Max on March 31.
