ESPN films, a unit of Disney, and Colin Kaepernick's production company Ra Vision are making a documentary series about race, social injustice and the fight for equality. The show will also include the various works of directors and producers of color.

Netflix and Twitter have gotten involved in former football quarterback Colin Kaepernick's fight for racial equality. Netflix is making the series Colin In Black or Whitewith When They See Us director Ava DuVernay, Twitter donated $3 million to his foundation, and now, Disney and ESPN are making a docuseries on his life. The series will air on Hulu, Pixar, Walt Disney TV, ESPN and The Undefeated, which is an ESPN site that focuses on race in sports.
What we can expect:
The series will be produced by journalist Jemele Hill, who has worked for ESPN and The Undefeated in the past. In a prepared statement, Kaepernick announced,
"I am excited to announce this historic partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers, and producers, and to inspire the youth with compelling and authentic perspectives."
The project will highlight the intersectionality of race and sports, discuss the impact of recent and past police brutality and will showcase how media can impact the public.
