Cooking Up Inclusivity With Barilla Pasta Dishes | Celebrity Page

Join chef Art Smith for some incredible cooking tips!

In this segment, Barilla Celebrity Chef Art Smith joins LGBTQ+ activist David Mixner in the Advocate Channel virtual kitchen for a cooking lesson. Today's recipe is a pasta builder courtesy of Barilla pasta!

Barilla Pasta offers quick, affordable family meals that anyone can make! Not much of a cook? Not to worry...follow the Barilla pasta builder chart for your very own recipe. For this dish, Chef Art Smith uses his Barilla pasta of choice to combine spaghetti noodles with extra virgin olive oil, garlic cloves, shrimp, asparagus, salt, pepper, basil, and parmesan. Yum!

David Mixner currently serves on the company's Global Diversity and Inclusion Board, which consists of activists of different backgrounds who aim to promote equal rights and opportunities.

Barilla Pasta found controversy within the LGBTQ+ community some years ago. Since then, the company has dedicated itself to being one of the most inclusive brands in modern times. It now prides itself on receiving a 100% rating in each of the last six years with the Human Rights Council Corporate Equality Index.

Mixner explains:

"Barilla is absolutely determined that every employee, every worker, have the best and are treated with equal dignity and integrity. The Human Rights Campaign fund here in America has given them a 100% rating and considers them one of the better companies that the organization deals with."

Check out the segment to see what recipes you can make. All you need is some Barilla pasta and a recipe chart!
