Danny Trejo is a well-known actor, who has appeared in countless films, television shows, and video games.

Trejo was also a champion boxer. His work in film started when, after battling addiction himself, he was working as a youth drug counselor, and one of his patients asked for assistance on the set of Runaway Train. He ended up getting a small role as a boxer in the film which kickstarted his entertainment career.

Trejo's filmography includes titles like Blood In Blood Out, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and Spy Kids. Trejo also owns a number of restaurants

Trejo is now more than 50 years sober, and in what has been and continues to be a difficult year, he is spreading a message to others and urging them to take back their lives in a commercial for CRI-Help's "Fight" Campaign:

I got honest, I got clean. You can too.

CRI-Help is a Los Angeles based treatment center, and their "Fight" Campaign, which also marks their 50th anniversary, hopes to raise awareness about substance abuse. The holidays are notorious for being a difficult time for substance abuse and mental health, and this year the effects may be exacerbated due to the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic.
