Dawn Wells, known for her Mary Ann Summers on Gilligan's Island has tragically passed away due to Covid-19 complications.


Reactions to Wells

Wells was one of the last surviving members from the cast of Gilligan's Island other than Tina Louise. The iconic star passed away in Los Angeles due to the novel coronavirus. Louise took to Twitter to honor her fellow co-star and friend. She wrote:

"I will always remember Dawn's kindness to me. We shared in creating a cultural landmark that has continued to bring comfort and smiles to people during this difficult time. I hope that people will remember her the way that I do — always with a smile on her face."

Wells starred in a number of Hollywood TV shows after Gilligan's Island, ranging from The Joey Bishop Show, Hawaiian Eye, as well as 77 Sunset Strip. She was a beloved star and person and will be greatly missed. Dawn Wells is now survived through her step-sister Weslee Wells.
