Daytime TV Takes on Halloween
ABC

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

Daytime talk shows are really getting in the spooky spirit! We're recapping some of the best moments of Halloween-themed Daytime this year.

LIVE with Kelly and Ryan

Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest kicked off the festivities with a bang! The pair showed off a plethora of costumes on Live with Kelly and Ryan, including taking on roles from Tiger King. Kelly dressed up as Carole Baskin and Ryan dressed as the "king" himself. Kelly and Ryan also paid tribute to Schitt's Creek's record-breaking Emmy win by dressing up as Moira and David Rose from the hit show.

The Ellen Show

Also getting in on the fun, The Ellen Show. Ellen Degeneres dressed up as a nurse this year to highlight healthcare workers that have risked their lives during the pandemic. Ellen sported a nurse's uniform and Superman logo, sharing that nurses are real superheroes. The talkshow host also put together some great costume ideas for your kids that sum up 2020 perfectly.

TODAY

Broadway has been shut down for several months now, but it was alive and well on the Today show. The morning news show honored the "best of Broadway" by dressing up as some of the most iconic Broadway musical characters of all time. Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb dressed up as Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked. Jenna Bush Hager dressed as Grizabella from Cats. Other anchors dressed as characters from Chicago and Hamilton.

GMA

GMA's anchors didn't dress up this year, but they still had some Halloween fun. The episode was taken over by "mini anchors," aka kids that played real-life anchors Cecilia Vega, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos. The real anchors also shared their pets' cutest Halloween costumes. Ginger Zee's dog might have worn the most original costumes, as a rocket made out of recycled bottles and tissue paper.
