Demi Lovato just released her music video "Dancing With The Devil," and this seems to be a new era for Lovato, there's no doubt about that.

We begin the music video with Lovato laying on a hospital bed with blonde hair and intercuts of her drinking a glass of wine... Then another drink.... Then a shot... Yes: this is the night of her overdose.

In the first part of the music video, Lovato lets us see how the night went as she sings directly to us. And then the music stops and we can only hear the news of the time reporting the singer's overdose.

Lovato is then hospitalized and we can see her crying with family members around her, a moment that is incredibly powerful is Lovato screaming at us:

"Almost made it to heaven, it was closer than you know!"

And as she cries and hugs her mother, Lovato is being cleaned up and shows a new meaningful tattoo.

"Survivor." The singer then leaves the hospital and the disco ball that we saw at the beginning of the music video appears once again right at the end.

The message is clear -- Lovato didn't only leave the hospital behind, but the life she once knew as well. The album is an intimate and raw journey for all of us to embark on. In the Intro, Lovato tells us:

"Let me take you on a journey. One that sheds the skin of my past and embodies the person I am today. This is the Art Of Starting Over."

Lovato has been in the spotlight since she was a teenager and we've always witnessed her journey, but this one promises to be something we've never seen before from the singer: a journey full of hope.
