What Derek Hough Wishes He Had More Time For | Celebrity Page

This week was a special one for Dancing with the Stars as Derek Hough returned to the dance floor on the show for the first time in over three years.

Hough first began his DWTS journey back in 2007 as one of the professional dancers. He went on to compete on the show until 2017 and was able to snag a record six championships on the show. He was also nominated for nine Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography with two award wins.

Since leaving the show, Hough has stepped up as a judge, replacing Len Goodman due to travel restrictions caused by the ongoing Pandemic.

To make his return to the show extra special, Hough teamed up with dance partner and girlfriend, Hayley Erbert, to perform a steamy combo to "Uccen" by the Taalbi Brothers.

Hough and fellow DWTS pro, Erbert began dating over five years ago and have been together ever since.

He later uploaded the full performance to his IGTV with this caption:

"It's a privilege to dance on this iconic floor once again. Having a platform to create and showcase something that you love, with someone you love is truly special. I never take for granted having the opportunity to share with so many. The viewers and fans of DWTS are remarkable and have kept this show going for so long. "

He went on to thank the show for everything it has given him throughout the past few years,

"DWTS has given so much for so many years allowing a community of dancers to thrive. Including myself. Feeling full of gratitude and appreciation this morning. Looking forward to the rest of the season and many more in the future. Much Love"

Although Hough had plenty of time to sizzle on the dance floor with Hayley, there is something that Derek wishes he had more time to do on the show. Telling Celebrity Page Exclusively, "I want an hour sometimes to talk with the celebrity."

As for his return to DWTS, Hough is especially glad to be part of a show that can brighten up his fans, saying, "It's so unique, it's so vibrant and colorful and I feel like color is needed right now."
