Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Has Passed Away at 87

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away at 87 due to complications from metastatic pancreas cancer. The Justice was surrounded by family at her Washington, D.C. home.


RBG was a pivotal Supreme Court Justice who served on the bench for over 27 year. Her work in fighting for women's equality has created a lasting legecy, empowering women and girls everywhere. She was nominated to the court by president Bill Clinton in 1993, and has recently suffered from various health issues.

Chief Justice John Roberts shared a statement regarding Justice Ginsburg,

"Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her -- a tireless and resolute champion of justice."
