Disney Delays Several Big Movies Including Mulan, Avatar, Star Wars, and Spider-man

As the coronavirus shows know signs of slowing down, Disney had to make the tough decision to delay their upcoming films once again.


'Mulan' Delayed Indefinitely

Originally set for a March 2020 release, Mulan has been delayed again and again. The film now has no theatrical release date, but a Disney+ release is possible. This is a massive hit for movie theater owners as Mulan was set to be the film to bring audiences back in August. In a statement, a Disney representative said:

"Over the last few months, it's become clear that nothing can be set in stone when it comes to how we release films during this global health crisis, and today that means pausing our release plans for Mulan as we assess how we can most effectively bring this film to audiences around the world,"

The 'Avatar' Sequels

You'll have to wait even longer for the highly anticipated sequels to the 2nd highest grossing film of all time. In a statement, James Cameron stated that all 4 of Avatar sequels have been delayed again due to the coronavirus.

The new release dates for The Avatar Sequels goes as follows:

AVATAR 2 - December, 16, 2022

AVATAR 3 - December 20, 2024

AVATAR 4 - December 18, 2026

AVATAR 5 - December 22, 2028

Star Wars

The story of the Jedi will continue in 2023, the new Star Wars trilogy has been delayed. The upcoming films will bring new stories to the Galaxy Far Far Away. The new Star Wars schedule goes as follows: December 22, 2023, December 19, 2025, and December 17, 2027.

Spider-man 3

Everyone's favorite web slinger will swing into theaters a month later than expected. The Disney/Sony film is the highly anticipated sequel to Spider-man Far From Home, and another addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new film with debut on December 17, 2021.
