One of our favorite pop artists switched up her tone this week while performing at BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.

"Levitating" singer Dua Lipa brought out her soulful side and sang her heart out to Arlo Parks song "Eugene." Parks is a 20-year-old West London singer/poet who wrote the song in her living room. She had debut her studio album "Collapsed in Sunbeams" in 2021 and had peaked at number three on the UK Albums chart.

The song is about the connection between a romantic kind of love and a platonic love. Lipa was accompanied by two back-up singers and an electrical guitar.

The song "Eugene" was released in February 2020 where Parks also included a poem that she had written on a bus at 3 a.m.

The 25-year-old pop singer had also performed her newest single "We're Good" in a stripped down version, as well as a "moody" version of "Hallucinate."

After the performance at BBC, Parks took to twitter to show her love and support for the performance. It was a dream come true for the artist to get her song to be performed by such an icon in the music industry. The tweet was posted with a video showing Parks grinning form ear to ear while hearing them announce Dua Lipa's performance of her song.

The tweet read, "IM ABSOLUTELY FLOORED! Dua, I literally felt like I was levitating listening to you covering Eugene on the @BBCR1 live lounge. what a special moment for a quiet, intensely personal tune that was written in a living room!! @DUALIPA you are a star - I'm grinning so big rn x"
