New posters were recently released, featuring the characters of Dune in action, perfectly encapsulating the ominous essence of the film.

Based off the 1965 Frank Herbet novel of the same name, the film takes place in the distant future, and follows the story of young Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he travels with his family to the desert planet Arrakis, which contains the most valuable spice in the universe due to its abilities to extend human life. The film is ideally a two part series, with the 2021 installment covering the first half of the book.

Directed by Denis Vlleneuve, Timothee Chalamet shows off his versatility as an actor as the lead of his first Sci-Fi film.

Dune also stars Zendaya as Chani, Paul's primary love interest, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica (Paul's mother), Oscar Isaac as Duke Leto (Paul's father), Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Duke Leto's right hand man. Other characters include Javier Bardem as Stilgar, a native of Arrakis, Josh Brolin as Gurney, Paul's teacher, and Stellan Skarsgard as The Baron, the main antagonist.

After originally being delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic, the release date was moved back yet again for three weeks. Dune will be now officially be released in theatres and HBO Max on October 22nd, 2021.
