Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund in late August and had fans rejoicing. The backstory of this announcement is hilarious, involving Roberts' mother and her new relationship with social media.

Pregnant with a Baby Boy

Emma Roberts, 29, is known for her roles in American Horror Story and as the icon Chanel Oberlin in Scream Queens. Roberts also stars in Netflix's Holidate coming out October 28, 2020.

Emma Roberts revealed her pregnancy in an Instagram post captioned,

"Me...and my two favorite guys 💙💙"

Celebrities and fans ambushed her with congratulations and warm wishes in the comment section. Roberts' co-star Lea Michele from Scream Queens commented,

"You will be the greatest mama. I love you Em! Boy moms together💙"

Father of the Baby

Garrett Hedlund and Emma Roberts began dating in 2012 and are expecting their first child together. Hedlund is known for his role as Sam Flynn in TRON: Legacy (2010). Since then, Hedlund has been a part of other feature films including Triple Frontier, alongside Ben Affleck.

Instagram Battle with Her Mom

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Roberts reveals that she announced her pregnancy, not on her own merit. Roberts bought her mother her very first iPhone and refers to it as the biggest mistake she has ever made.

Along with the new technology, came Roberts' mother adjustment to social media. Hilariously, Roberts' mother has already been through it all. In the short amount of time she has had social media, she has already been exposed to fake news and catfishing.

After seeing a tabloid talking about Roberts possible pregnancy, her mother began thanking fans who congratulated the grandmother-to-be. Roberts and her mother got into a hilarious Instagram battle over this, even leading to Roberts blocking her mother on Instagram for a night.

All is well now, as Roberts has announced her pregnancy on her own and we cannot wait for her to give birth to a beautiful baby boy.

We wish Roberts and Hedlund well during these last months of pregnancy and hope for the birth of a healthy baby boy.
