Inside The Best Drama Series Nominations: 2020 Emmy Awards Preview | Celebrity Page

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards are fast approaching on September 20th. And even though this year's ceremony will be virtual, the drama over who will win is still very real. Here's our look at the nominees for Outstanding Drama Series.

Succession on HBO

Will Succession follow up its win at this year's Golden Globe Awards? Now that Game of Thrones has ended its reign over the category, many are predicting Succession will pick up where its HBO big brother left off.

The Crown on Netflix

Don't count out, The Crown. The Netflix series has yet to sit on the throne as the Best Drama, despite winning in other categories.

Better Call Saul on AMC

Viewers of Better Call Saul wouldn't be shocked if the show took home the trophy. Its sister series, Breaking Bad, won Best Drama twice.

The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu

The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu is nominated again this year. It has already won in this category back in 2017.

Stranger Things on Netflix

As fans eagerly await Season four of Stranger Things, the show has earned another top nomination.

Killing Eve on BBC America

Despite mixed reviews for its latest chapter, Killing Eve is nominated again this year.

The Mandalorian on Disney+

The big surprise in this year's Drama category is The Mandalorian. The Disney+, Star Wars spinoff riding Baby Yoda's coattails all the way to a possible date with Emmy.

Ozark on Netflix

But if any show could play spoiler to Succession winning, it would likely be Ozark.

The series everyone was watching in quarantine, no stranger to Emmy wins for acting and directing. But this would be its first time taking home the top Drama Series prize.

Plenty of drama as we wait to find out who wins, September 20th on ABC.
