Evan Peters to Play Jeffrey Dahmer in New Crime Series

The actor will be taking on the role of the notorious cannibal for Netflix.

Evan Peters is no stranger to playing the strange and psychotic, and he'll be taking on yet another grisly role in the upcoming Netflix crime series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

A New Look

The upcoming series will be taking a look at Dahmer from the perspective from one of his victims during his multiyear killing spree, and will be more of a psychological thriller than a horror piece.

It will also look at Dahmer's exploits through the lens of white privilege, considering the fact that Dahmer was ignored by the police as a possible suspect for years due to his image as a "clean-cut" white man. It's a very fresh take on a serial killer that's been portrayed countless times since his infamous killing spree.

A Perfect Pick

There's nobody better than Peters for this role. He has extensive experience in the horror/psychological thriller genre, namely his years of experience playing a variety of characters for the FX smash hit American Horror Story.

He's also been making headlines recently for his portrayal of Quicksilver, who he also played in the X-Men franchise in the Disney+ miniseries Wandavision. This is just another chance for Peters to master another character and gain even more acclaim.

The series will also reportedly include Richard Jenkins, Penelope Ann Miller and Niecy Nash. There's no news on a release date as of now.
