'Punky Brewster' Reboot

Everyone's favorite girl from the 80's is back and all grown up. Soleil Moon Frye is returning to her role as Penelope "Punky" Brewster in the Peacock reboot of Punky Brewster.

Joined by original cast member Cherie Johnson and 90's heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr., Moon Frye is more than excited to revive the story of Punky Brewster, now as a mother in the modern times.

Moon Frye sat down with Celebrity Page to discuss her joy over the anticipated reboot.

"Truly, I have wanted to bring Punky back for so long and the way that the stars aligned for it to happen now is just, it is truly a dream come true and I really wanted to make sure that we stayed true to the authenticity as we all did and I just, I feel like the world right now can use some of that Punky and Cherie power."

Punky Brewster star Cherie Johnson is thrilled on introducing her character's girlfriend to the series.

"We have found our Punky power meaning we are starting to live for ourselves again and are unapologetically who we are. I am so proud that I get to introduce my girlfriend to the world played by Miss Jasika Nicole who's such an amazing actress."
