Taylor Swift just doesn't quit with the clues!

Follow us down a rabbit hole to decode Taylor Swift hinting at the re-recording of her fifth studio album 1989.

On Tuesday, Swift guest-starred on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss in detail that her song Hey Stephen on her Fearless record is not about the talk show host with the same name.

The seemingly scripted interview featured many obscure details that the average person may think nothing of - but don't be mistaken. Taylor Swift fans know all too well that she is always thinking, dropping Easter eggs along her path to releasing music.

Swifties are now convinced that information gathered from the interview must have some correlation to the re-release of Taylor's album 1989.

Two quotes from Swift that particularly stood out include "Hey Stephen is not about you any more than my album 1989 is about that year you spent waiting tables," and "take that feeling you are feeling, and then just shake it off. Right?"

The Late Show fueled the fire to the detective work going on on Twitter, writing “Trying to figure out what @taylorswift13's mood board on tonight's show means."

All the Data from the Video

One fan collected all of the data and shared it with the Twittersphere.

Speculations About the Numbers

One fan dove deep into the theory spiral and said "2008, 18, 44 years, 179 days, 513, 54, new york, 1989, scoozi chicago, stephen king, dark tower, the shining, the stand, 511, shake it off, 33035 and YNTCD 3+3+0+3+5 = 14"

The Phone Call

At the end of the interview, Taylor's phone rings, which fans have figured out is a hallmark of Taylor being up to something.

After one fan noticed this, they reposted a tweet from Swift back in 2014 that reads "My home phone is ringing. I did not know I had a home phone. Interesting development." Since that tweet, the singer has used the ringing phone as a symbol of suspicion in several interviews about her music. The fan suggested that since the tweet happened in 2014 around the time of 1989, the phone call hints at her re-recording of it.

If there's one thing that's true, it's that Taylor keeps her fans on their toes!
