The Haunting of Bly Manor

As fall approaches, the television lineup for the "spooky season" becomes increasingly impatient. However, not everybody is ready for the crafty Halloween movies. Heres five shows to start watching now that will have you screaming...even before October hits.

The Haunting of Hill House

This Netflix series is the PERFECT show to begin the spooky madness. Available now for streaming, season one proved to be one of the most well executed TV shows to grace the horror genre. The show now has a season two being released to Netflix October ninth, so there's just enough time to watch before starting The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Scream Queens

Though production of this show has ended, both seasons of this horror comedy can be streamed on Hulu. Scream Queens is a highly comedic murder mystery with a star-studded cast including Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, and Lea Michele.

American Horror Story

Another frighteningly good series starring Emma Roberts, American Horror Story is known for bringing back ensembles of stars to take on different roles between different seasons. Eight seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix while a tenth is expected in 2021.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Inspired by the classic comics, Sabrina Spellman is played by Kiernan Shipka. There's still enough time to binge watch the first three seasons on Netflix as a fourth is on its way this fall.

Stranger Things

This is one show that makes a perfect introduction to "spooky season" without spoiling the Halloween fun too early. Three seasons of the show can currently be streamed on Netflix, while the fourth season has been pushed back to premiering next year.
