The ladies are coming back for a sequel of "Girls Trip," producer Will Packer confirms on Good Morning America. The four main stars, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish will all be returning for "Girls Trip 2!"

"Girls Trip" first premiered back in 2017, featuring four college best friends who reunite during a trip to New Orleans. The four ladies face many challenges within their personal lives and their friendship throughout the movie. Producer Will Packer gave some insight on the sequel during an interview on Good Morning America, saying:

"We are underway with "Girls Trip 2", and now it's just about what kind of trip do we take... Post pandemic with all our crazy ladies, what do we do with them?"

In March of 2020, Hadish revealed to Huff Post that the ladies had discussed doing "Girls Trip 2" together during a zoom call. Haddish also noted that the studio had been waiting on a script before moving forward and there was some back and forth on the idea of a sequel. The "Flossy Posse" were told that they were asking for too much money, after bringing in about 140 million dollars from American box offices.

"Then it was like, ‘Oh, you guys want too much money," Haddish said.

The ladies were determined to make a second "Girls Trip" and agreed on zoom to begin writing the script together.

"We might decide not to even make it ‘Girls Trip... maybe we’ll do a different story just in case no one wants to make ‘Girls Trip 2," Haddish said.

After the previous success from the first movie, with the added dedication from the ladies, and people dealing with the pandemic, "Girls Trip 2" is expected to do well in the box

Where will we see these ladies next? Queen Latifah gave People some ideas she brought to the table.

"I’ve been throwing Rio [de Janeiro] from the beginning … definitely down with South Africa, too” Latifa explained.

We may be seeing these ladies travel overseas, which could lead to even crazier adventures.
