Season four of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Potomac is here, and according to Gizelle Bryant, it’s the best one yet!
The teaser for season four promises plenty of drama—and even though the ladies of Potomac aren’t known to hold back, Bryant says fans can expect a whole new level of openness from the cast this season.
“It’s the best one, by far. We’re getting to know each other better, and we’re peeling back the layers. You’re seeing us raw.”
From dating to a major home renovation, it’s a big season for Bryant, who calls the coming events “highly intense.” Through it all, though, Bryant keeps her signature confidence in her new tagline for the season, which she repeats to our Sonia Isabelle:
“I am the baddest thing walking, and the smartest one talking.”
Katie Rost Is Back!
Fans can expect to see a familiar face from the first two Potomac seasons, Katie Rost, make a comeback in season four.
“I actually reintroduced her to all the ladies again,” Bryant says. “She had been having some troubles with her ex husband, and it would be great if she had some girlfriends around. So I brought her back to the scene, and Katie does not fail us. She is just as crazy as we left her in season two.”
Is Sherman Gone for Good?
The end of last season brought the end of a relationship for Bryant. Will Sherman be returning in the new season?
“Actually, Sherman [Douglas] and I are done,” Bryant says. “In the beginning of the season I felt like we were in a good place, and I thought things were gonna be great, and we were gonna have this wonderful, beautiful relationship. But he did something that wasn’t nice, and we will see that play out in this season, and he is gone forever.”
Is there another man on the horizon for the reality star?
“We’ll have to wait and see,” she says. “Gizelle’s always dating.”
Reality Star, Businesswoman, and Number One Author!
Bryant is a television personality, business woman, and now best-selling author! Her new fiction book My Word shot to number one on Amazon within 24 hours of its release.
On the last season of RHOP fans got to see glimpses of Bryant’s writing process for the book, which she says is loosely based on her life when she was married to a pastor.
“In the black church, pastors’ wives are called First Ladies. They all kinda have a little sister circle. They confide in one another, they’re a little catty with one another. So that’s all revealed in the book,” Bryant says.
The RHOP star says people’s interest in the ‘church world’ is what inspired her to tell the fictionalized story.
“So many people are intrigued about the whole church world and being married to a man of God. And I wanted to do it it my time, in my way.”
The television personality calls the book “salacious” and “a page turner.”
“It’s all kinds of tea,” Bryant says.
Her goal for the book is to give readers an entertaining story, and, while she’s at it, some inspiration.
“It’s just a fun read, and I do wanna give women inspiration,” Bryant says. You know, life takes turns. Life takes all kinds of zig zags. And you gotta know how to handle it.”
And if she didn’t have enough on her plate, Bryant also recently completely renovated her house: a process fans will get a peek into on the upcoming season.
“You’re gonna get a glimpse at pulling up into a broken-down, like…something that you need to throw a bomb in. I decided to keep the bones of the house, and just kinda gut it and re-do it. So we will also see that. Yeah, I got enough on my plate!”
