In the midst of this ongoing pandemic, many restaurants were forced to close down for a number months. Many were left without a job and in search of support. Guy Fieri played a big role in lending that support to them.
This year started out with Fieri celebrating his birthday at his restaurant in Las Vegas with our very own Jaymes Vaughan. However, thinks quickly took a turn as Covid-19 struck the world. As the nation shut down, so did many restaurants. Fieri quickly sprung into action and raised over $21.5 million to help those struggling with unemployment. Fieri is also debuting a new Food Network documentary, Restaurant Hustle 2020: All on the Line to reveal the challenges that restaurant owners and employees faced. Fieri spoke about what he hopes others can learn from watching this documentary. He says:
"It's not about just telling the story now, it's about maybe what we can learn so if this ever happens again we know what to do."
Restaurant Hustle 2020: All on the Line is set to premiere on Dec. 27 on Food Network.
