Restaurateur and television host Guy Fieri has had to make some tough calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through restaurant closures and social distancing measures put in place, fans wondered how hit show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives would go on. The show's fiery host, Guy Fieri, mentioned that the show will be filmed remotely and how he is helping out restaurants in this time of need.

'Triple D' From Home

Guy Fieri is known to give restaurants from around the country, and sometimes, around the world, a spotlight on his Food Network show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Since some restaurants are still closed and Fieri might not be able to travel because of social distancing, he has found another way to connect with restaurants. Fieri tells Fox News that he and his family have been filming 'Triple D' from home by getting recipes from different restaurants and trying them from his own home. He explains the filming process:

"Hunter, my oldest son, and I prepare the recipes and finish it for them. It's been a blast. We did a bunch of them, and getting ready to shoot some more."

His other show, Guy's Grocery Games, will also be filmed remotely. The show will be changed to Triple G Delivery so that chefs can be sent ingredients and compete in challenges separately.

Restaurant Employee Relief Fund

In a time where restaurants had to close temporarily, many food service workers were left out of work. Guy Fieri has teamed up with the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund to help workers who are struggling financially. According to the RERF website, they have been able to help over 43,000 workers.
