The Hallmark Channel and Brant Daugherty have joined forces to create a winning recipe: their new movie, The Baker's Son.

In his new Hallmark Channel movie The Baker's Son, Pretty Little Liars star Brant Daugherty plays Matt, a small-town baker living on an island whose love life heats up when a dance troupe comes to town.

A beautiful ballerina who catches his eye and reinvigorates his humdrum life, bread, and in turn, the entire town.

When the dancer inevitably leaves, so does Matt's inspiration. In crisis, the town turns to Annie (Eloise Mumford), a childhood friend of Matt's, to help get the baker out of his rut.

"He goes on a journey when she leaves to really realize where that inspiration comes from and whether it comes from an external source or whether it comes from himself," Daugherty said.

In regard to the Hallmark movie format, Daugherty said:

"It's very comforting to know that you are going to get a certain product, and it's going to be delivered in a fun way, but how can we now elevate that to make it still fit those parameters... but be new and exciting."

The Baker's Son will air on Hallmark June 12th.
