This year's Halloween season is surely creeping upon us, and what better way to get into the spirit than to stream a new Netflix release!

There's Someone Inside Your House is one of Netflix's newest, and definitely most terrifying, Halloween films to reach your home screens this Fall. Rachel Smith sat down with the cast of the film to discuss their experiences working on such a spooky project.

Diego Josef, who plays Rodrigo in the film, shared with us that Sydney Park has a secret talent for standup comedy.

"Right before I filmed 'There's Someone Inside Your House,' I went up for the first time in like ten years, um, and then I went to go film the movie but, uh, yeah those are my roots. I have done standup since I was like six years old."

Sydney's act for comedy is quite the dichotomy considering the role she undertook for the Netflix film. Rachel asked Syndey what is was like working on a set riddled with stereotypical haunted locations and frightening special effects.

You have to go there, so I've definitely had many moments where I'm like 'this is chilling, actually, like this is really freaking me out, somebody roll a camera because this is real right now'. My reaction is real.

Written by Henry Gayden and directed by Patrick Brice, There's Someone Inside Your House is a film adaptation based off of the hit novel by Stephanie Perkins.

The film features a transfer student from Hawaii, named Makani Young, who finds herself entangled in the gruesome murders of her peers when she finally begins to settle into her new Nebraska high school. The film follows the perspective of Makani, starred by Sydney Park, who ends up in confrontation with her secretive and traumatic past.

Rachel also spoke to another cast member, Dale Whibley, to see if he was similarly scared by the set of the film.

"It does jar you for a sec because you're like, 'oh no, Jesse no! I should know what's going on'', but it's just fun, I feel like we had so much fun just playing around and being scared and like you said, having laughed, it was a wonderful experience."

You can join in on the frights and fun too! Watch There's Someone Inside Your House, now streaming on Netflix.

Netflix

Get ready Netflix fans! The platform just announced that two of its biggest stars are joining together for their newest movie.

Netflix revealed to TODAY that their latest film project is bringing Joey King, from The Kissing Booth, and Chase Stokes, from Outerbanks, together to play the two lead roles.

The new movie is an adaptation based off of the hit young adult sci-fi series Uglies by Scott Westerfield. Rumors about a film adaptation for the series have been circulating since the first novel's release, so Netflix's announcement comes as quite the pleasant surprise for fans.

Netflix had already teased that King was joining the cast for Uglies, however Stokes' involvement in the production was completely unknown until Tuesday. Along with announcing Stokes as the latest addition to the cast, Brianne Tju, from MTV's Scream, and Keith Powers, from the Freeform drama Famous in Love, will also be joining.

Uglies takes place in a dystopian society where beauty standards are taken to whole new extremes. Instead of getting your driver's permit at 16, teenagers are instead forced to get a complete reconstructive surgery, making them absolutely flawless--but that seems to be the flaw.

King is set to play the main protagonist of the film, Tally Youngblood, who will do literally anything to avoid her surgery. The roles of Stokes, Tju, and Powers still have yet to be released.

Uglies will be directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol, also known as McG, and Krista Vernoff is heading the screenplay adaptation. King will be executive producing the film alongside Jamie King, John Fox, and Scott Westerfield himself.

A premiere date for Uglies has yet to be disclosed.
