Halsey revealed that they might be taking a step back to focus on their health amid multiple trips to the hospital following endometriosis surgery.
Halsey is going "MIA" to prioritize their health.
On April 25, the singer shared on Instagram Story that they had been "in and out of the hospital" over the course of the last few weeks while "dealing with some new challenges."
Halsey shared a photo of themself lying in bed, flashing a peace sign writing,
"Trying my best to keep things normal; Grammys, Coachella etc. But my body is putting up a strong protest. And ultimately demanding that I slow down or stop foreal this time. Especially so I can be in the best shape for tour."
Since 2017, Halsey has been candid about their continuous health struggles with endometriosis.
"If I am or have been MIA please don't take it personally. I am doing the best I can under difficult circumstances. Sharing this for all my fellow spoonies," wrote Halsey referring to those who suffer from chronic a illness.
A day before the Grammys on April 2, Halsey posted a picture of herself in medical apparel and a mask to let fans know that they have just undergone endometriosis surgery three days before.
A bit of deja vu, Halsey revealed that the last time they attended the Grammys in 2017, they had undergone endometriosis surgery just three days prior as well.
"I'm attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I'm fragile. Fragile but excited." wrote the singer about their 2022 Grammys appearance.
Halsey, who was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the awards event, ending up leaving early because they weren't feeling well.
