Hallmark Channel Celebrates The Festival Of Lights With New Movie ‘Eight Gifts Of Hanukkah’ | CPTV

When you think Hallmark Channel, you think Christmas movies. This week, however, the beloved network is giving us an extra gift.

That’s right, once again the Hallmark Channel is debuting a holiday movie that centers on Hanukkah, not Christmas. The movie is called Eight Gifts of Hanukkah and it stars Israeli actress Inbar Lavi as the leading lady. Hanukkah movies are definitely hard to come by, as this time of year, most platforms primarily produce Christmas movies.
“To grow up in America and being a Jewish kid during Christmas sucks, it’s not great. It was important to me to showcase what we get for Hanukkah. What we get is way… different. I don’t want to say way better because everybody has what matters to them. But for me it’s the meaning and the spirituality of it. The community and the family and the blessings.”

That was Lavi on what Hanukkah means to her. Fans of the fantasy genre may recognize Lavi as Eve on Netflix’s Lucifer. This time around, she is celebrating eight crazy nights in this new romantic Hanukkah movie.

Lavi’s character is a newly single woman who is gearing up for Hanukkah when something strange suddenly happens; She begins receiving gifts from a secret admirer. Lavi said:

“Every day of Hanukkah she finds another gift and another gift. We kind of get these clues and I’m not gonna tell you. You have to watch the film to find out who it was.”

Eight Gifts of Hanukkah premieres Friday December 3rd at 8:00pm EST on The Hallmark Channel.
