Is it fun to play the bad guy? Atkins Estimond thinks so!

All About 'Hightown'

Estimond, who plays Osito in the new STARZ series Hightown, connected with Arthur Kade via Zoom to explain the premise behind the show:

"The story follows a women, her name is Jackie Quiñones...essentially this is kind of her journey to sobriety and that is unfolding as this huge investigation into this murder is happening."

'Hightown' Explores Life In Provincetown

Cape Cod is a northeastern paradise for many, but Estimond explains how even the vacation destination has more than what meets the eye:

"Cape Cod is the backdrop, the opioid epidemic is happening, I think what's special about it is that you have the beauty of it. Most people are vacationing and the beach, but then you have this dark under side that's also being explored."

How Much Fun Is It To Play The Antagonist?

Estimond might be the nicest guy on the planet. Which is why Hightown and playing Osito was a challenge for the actor. While discussing playing a bad guy, Atkins describes the challenge and the fun in it:

"It's so much fun, I never played a role like this. The preparation for it was completely different and it was a challenge in a lot of ways, but I really kinda embraced that and enjoyed the challenge of it."

Hightown airs Sunday nights at 8pm ET on STARZ.
