ICYMI: SNL Season Premiere Highlights

Chris Rock and Megan Thee Stallion on 'Saturday Night Live.'

Saturday Night Live opened its 46th season Saturday night with host Chris Rock and musical guest Megan Thee Stallion.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, many TV shows we all know and love had to close their doors and somehow put shows together at home. Now,Saturday Night Live is back in the studio and better than ever before as they opened their 46th season this past Saturday night. If you missed the show, here's our recap of the best moments:

Biggest Season Premiere Audience in 4 Years

It could've been the election jokes talking, but Saturday Night Live had the biggest season premiere audience in 4 years, with 7.765 million viewers tuning in. Chris Rock opened with the host's classic monologue, and his rendition was highly praised.

The three things he talked about? You guessed it: Donald Trump testing positive for COVID-19, the pandemic, and the U.S. government.

Jim Carrey Takes Joe Biden Role

Probably one of the most anticipated sketches of the night was the recap of last week's presidential debate - and now, Jim Carrey has taken on the role of playing Joe Biden for the show.

The Drew Barrymore Show

Chloe Fineman takes on the role of Drew Barrymore so well, you wouldn't even know it wasn't Drew Barrymore. The skit pokes at the actress' new daytime show - to recap it perfectly, Chloe says in the perfect Drew Barrymore voice: "I am just like you - a boho, free-spirit, mommy mother movie star since I was 6."

Megan Thee Stallion Performs 'Savage'

Megan Thee Stallion's song Savage has been trending for months after it became a dance trend on TikTok - and the singer/rapper has been living it up. She had a killer performance with cool graphics and tons of energy.

Another Megan Thee Stallion performance - with the help of a few others like Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd and Pete Davidson. The song explains their want and need to be able to see their girlfriends' faces during the coronavirus pandemic.

Things go South when a legal name changing office has an employee test positive for COVID-19 - we get to meet lots of interesting names throughout the skit, and it will keep you thoroughly entertained.

Be sure to watch this upcoming week's Saturday Night Live show on NBC at 11:30 EST with host Bill Burr and musical guest Morgan Wallen.
