Joe Biden

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced a star-studded primetime program will take place on Inauguration Day. The 90-minute special will be hosted by Tom Hanks with performances by Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, Ant Clemons, and more.

According to a release from the President Inauguration Committee, "Celebrating America" will highlight the strength of America's democracy and "showcase the American people's resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together as a nation to heal and rebuild," through its segments and performances. The program will also feature remarks from President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

The celebration will air next Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 8:30 ET/PT. It will air live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and MSNBC, and will be live-streamed by PIC social media channels: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch.

Lovato shares her excitement about her involvement with the program to Instagram.

The PIC will announce more performers and additional details in the coming weeks.

"This inauguration presents a unique opportunity to spotlight the resilience and spirit of an America United," said PIC CEO Tony Allen. "We have witnessed countless heroes this past year step up to the frontlines and serve their fellow Americans, so we are telling their stories, spreading their collective light, and celebrating the best of our country and its people with this prime-time program. Our first priority is safety — so while many of us will be watching safely from our homes, we are creating real moments of connection that highlight a new inclusive American era of leadership that works for and represents all Americans."

The program will conclude "America United," the inauguration of Joe Biden. It aims to represent a new journey of restoration and unification for America.
