In nearly a year, Harrison Ford will return to the big screen as Indiana Jones, and longtime franchise producer Frank Marshall is giving fans insight on what they can expect.

“It’s a great story, it's a great character, and I think you're going to be very happy with this movie,” Marshall tells A.frame over a decade after the last "Indiana Jones" film, “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released.

Marshall has high hopes for the upcoming film, despite the previous one performing poorly in the eyes of viewers.

“It's everything I think that everybody wants out of an 'Indiana Jones' movie.”

The five-time Oscar nominee has been part of the franchise's production team since the beginning.

"Staying with Indy all these years has just made it a real pleasure," Marshall shared. "To be able to now do another one has just been fantastic."

In terms of direction for the upcoming film, the producer revealed that it's "really up to" director Jim Mangold, saying,

“...I leave that to Jim Mangold. As a producer, I always look at my role in these movies as supporting the vision of the director.”

This will be the first "Indiana Jones" film not directed by Steven Spielberg. Two-time Oscar nominee Mangold will be at the helm.

"Indiana Jones 5" is set to star Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson.

You can catch the film when it premieres June 30th, 2023.
