Inside The Travis Scott Meal And Merch Collab With McDonald's

Travis Scott

Now through October 4th, fans of Travis Scott and Micky D's can head to a participating restaurant to join in on the fun.

"Say Cactus Jack sent you."

After much speculation, rapper Travis Scott and McDonald's have teamed up for a very unique collaboration. Scott, a Houston native and well-known McDonald's fanatic, believed a collaboration between himself and the fast food giant would be a match made in heaven. From the looks of it, Scott appears to be correct.

Now through October 4th, fans of Travis Scott and Micky D's can head to a participating restaurant to join in on the fun. This will be the first celebrity name featured on the McDonald's menu since 1992 with NBA legend Michael Jordan. This puts Scott in elite marketing company, and the team up features a signature meal and exclusive merch.

Scott and McDonald's made the announcement in unison on September 3rd, providing details of the collaboration. As a McDonald's super-fan, Scott has his own go-to order, consisting of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, sizzling bacon, crisp lettuce, medium fries with BBQ Sauce to dip, and a Sprite. Now, fans can enjoy the same exact meal. For $6, The Travis Scott meal is only an order away. In a statement, Scott shared his excitement for the team-up:

"I couldn't be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald's collaboration to life...We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can't wait for people to see what we have in store."

McDonald's U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley also expressed anticipation for the collab:

"Everyone has a favorite McDonald's meal, no matter who you are," said McDonald's U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Morgan Flatley. "Travis is a true McDonald's fan having grown up visiting our restaurants in Houston, not to mention one of the biggest musical acts and cultural icons in the world. This is the first time in nearly 30 years we've introduced a superstar's name to our menu - we're excited to bring the Travis Scott Meal to a McDonald's near you starting next week."

But a meal isn't all fans can get from Travis Scott and McDonald's. The two teamed up to release an exclusive line of merch, featuring nostalgic themes from McDonald's coupled with Scott's Cactus Jack record label branding. The merch includes typical apparel including sweatshirts, hats, t-shirts, and shorts but also features rugs, lunch boxes, and even a nugget body pillow!

Needless to say, we'll be making our way to McDonald's to join in on the fun.
