The Stars Of 'The War With Grandpa' Tell Us About The Film

One of the hottest comedies of the year is The War With Grandpa, and it stars Hollywood's biggest names.

Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, Cheech Marin, Jane Seymour, and Christopher Walken star in the family comedy, and the film tells the story of a young boy named Peter who is upset when he has to share his bedroom with his Grandpa and declares war to get back at him played by De Niro. Celebrity Page correspondent Rachel Smith had the opportunity to discuss more about the film with stars Cheech Marin and Jane Seymour.

Young Hollywood Stars Working With A-List Talent

Marin is no stranger starring in family comedies like the Cars franchise and the Spy Kids films, but this was a different kind of comedy. Smith asked Marin about the young stars and how they must have been in awe working with such great talent. Marin stated:

We had to find out who we were first then they would be really impressed.

Seymour shared her enthusiasm for the film by sharing:

We had such a good time and of course working with Cheech and Chris Walken who I've worked with before but then Robert De Niro who I'd never worked with before and being able to play his potential love interest that was fun, but I would say when we were all off camera they should have made a movie about that. It was a wonderful camaraderie on the off screen.

Game On Grandpa!

Loaded with crazy stunts and fun Marin told Smith about the big dodgeball scene that happened in the film stating:

The big culminating scene that happens and the trampoline bouncy house and so they knew who they were dealing with. So they called us in a week earlier to see how decrepit we were and so we get to the dumb bouncy house and like somebody's gonna die in this room today but hope it ain't me, but we made it though.

In fact, the film has been so successful a part two is in discussion. We had a chance to ask Seymour about the Wedding Crashers sequel that's in the works and if she's on board . Seymour shared her excitement stating:

I'm there of course! I mean how much fun!

Catch The War with Grandpa in theaters now, available on digital December 15, and on Blu-ray and DVD December 22.
